Places I stay on a regular basis on my travels around the country and would recommend.

Alona - Strathclyde Friendly staff, good food, Modern & in Strathclyde Country Park.

Careys Manor - New Forest Traditional, lovely location in the new forest, good food in the bistro.

Dakota - Scotland Very contemporary, good food, not a great location in fact rather depressing location.

Dunston Hall - Norwich East Anglia Very traditional, good food, lovely setting.

Hilton - Newbury Berkshire Standard Hiton decor, service etc.

Holiday Inn - Warrington Nice rooms, food good if sometimes limited in choice.

Sampsons Farm - Devon Lovely location (well it is a farm!), superb food, friendly staff.

Ship Hotel - Chichester Traditional rooms, good food.

The Edgemoor Hotel - Devon Fantastic location (edge of Dartmoor), excellent food, good rooms, great staff.

The Bunk Inn - Berkshire Nice village location, good rooms, great food, very friendly.

The Royal Seven Stars - Devon Nice rooms, good food, good location for Totness - limited parking.

Waverley Hotel - Cumbria Lovely rooms, good food (although some days they don't do food).
